Mr A. C. Fahey has returned from the dental conference in Wellington. Messrs J. M. Cadman, N. B. Loew (Christchurch), A. K. Craigie and T. McGregor (Dunedin) are staying at the Grand. Mr J. A. Nash, Palmerston North, has been re-elected president of the Power Boards’ and Supply Authorities’ Association for the fourteenth successive year. Mi* E. D. Mosley, senior Stipendiary Magistrate in Wellington, will leave by the Marama on September 4 on a visit to Australia. He wil Ibe accompanied by Mrs Mosley, and they expect to return about the middle of October. Sir Standish O’Grady Roche, A.D.C. to the Governor-General, returned to Auckland last week from a holiday at Samoa. He was brought back from Pago Pago by H.M.S. Dimedin on the warship’s return from its annual winter cruise to the Islands. Messrs K. M. Graham, S. Newton, B. Natusch, C. J. Hayden (Dunedin), A. F. Tiso (Christchurch), W. Shaw (Auckland), A. Galbraith, J. P. Meyer, S. J. Coaley, R. W. Meyers, R. A. Lilley, J. C. McKenzie, S. A. Pope, F. A. Clarke, G. Webb and M. Kelman (Invercargill) are registered at the Dominion. Mr H. W. S. Walker, of the Public Trust Office at Napier, has received advice that he has been attached to the inspectoral staff of the Department. Mr Walker has been associated with the Napier office for the last 12 years. He has been prominently connected with Rugby football and cricket circles in Napier for a number of years. Reference to the loss the club had suffered during the year through the deaths of Messrs W. Walker, F. Field, G. H. Sewell, G. Trott and T. W. Satterthwaite was expressed by the retiring president (Mr A. Shipley) at the annual meeting of the West End Bowling Club on Saturday night. A motion of condolence was accorded tlie relatives. Messrs G. S. Morrison, W. Craig, C. D. Lawn, R. Gee, T. C. Bullock, J. A. Mitchell, G. Henry, J. M. Evans, H. McCully, H. T. Fuller, J. F. Kneale (Christchurch), W. N. Keating (Waikaka), E. W. Clarke (Auckland), D. W. Richardson, W. A Fraser, L. M. Schrader (Wellington), T. H. Dowie. P. Dowie, L. Peterson and T. H. Davey (Duntroon) are staying at the Empire.
