LODGE MEETING
N.G. Bro. Robert Mayer presided over a good attendance of members at a summoned meeting of the Loyal Timaru Lodge, No. 5308, M.U., 1.0.0. F., held on Wednesday. Two candidates were ballotted for, unanimously elected, and duly initiated into the Order. Two letters of recommendation were granted to members who have gone to reside in another district.
The sick report showed six members on the funds,-and six members declared off.
Reports from the F.S. Council, F.S. Dispensary, Juvenile Lodge, and P.G. Lodge were received.
Members from Loyal Timaru, Morven, Waimate and Geraldine Lodges paid a visit to Loyal Makikihi Lodge on August 19. A hearty welcome was extended to the visitors by the N.G. of Loyal Makikihi Lodge, and responded to by members of the different lodges present.
After the lodge meeting closed an adjournment was made to the Makikihi Hall, where supper was provided, after which a dance was held.
The election of delegates to represent Loyal Timaru Lodge at the district meeting to be held at Morven on Saturday, September 12, resulted as follows: P.P.G.M. Bros. J. Martin and T. E. Webb; P.G. Bros. Glover, P. Hanlin, W. Tonkin, and J. Crowley; N.G. Bro. Robert Mayer. N.G. Bro. Mayer declared next Lodge meeting a degree night for members entitled to take same.
Accounts amounting to £339/16/6 were passed for payment.
