DESERTED HIS SHIP
SEAMAN FORFEITS PAY By Telegraph Press Association AUCKLAND, August 24 Charged with deserting from the steamer Piako, at Wellington on July 17, Frederick Irwin Henderson (28), pleaded guilty before Mr Wilson. “As this man signed on in New Zealand, he is not liable to imprisonment,” said the Magistrate. “I can only order him to forfeit the pay that comes to him.”
