Christchurch — The sky was overcast throughout the week-end with a strong easterly on Saturday and a moderate easterly yesterday. The maximum temperature on Saturday was 55.2 degrees and yesterday 52.6 degrees. The barometer fell steadily and registered 29.772 in yesterday afternoon. Ashburton — Mild weather was experienced again on Saturday. The wind was from the north-west, and was moderate in the morning. The temperature on Friday reached 66.5 degrees. Geraldine, Saturday—Air temperatures, min. 41, max. 67, at 9 a.m. 52. Bright and fine, dull in afternoon. Moderate northerly wind, veering to the south later. Rain in late evening. Yesterday—Air temperatures, min. 43, max. 66, at 9 a.m. 46. Dull and overcast throughout the morning. Temuka — Saturday was .a .typical spring day with a maximum shade temperature of 60 degrees. After light rain during the night, yesterday was fine, with a cold easterly breeze, the maximum temperature being 52 degrees and the minimum 38. The glass last evening was steady. Waimate (24 hours ended 9 a.m. yesterday, thermometer highest 50.2, lowest 40; wind gauge, miles run, previous 24 hours 23; bright sunshine, 5 hours 48 minutes. ' Saturday was fine and mild, but a change occurred late in the evening and rain fell. Yesterday, however, was fine and sunny. Dunedin — The sky was overcast on Saturday except for brief periods when the sun shone. Later a drizzle set in turning to heavy rain during the night. Yesterday was fine and sunny with a gentle north-west breeze.
