LEAVE TO BE GRANTED By Teiegtapb—Fies* Association WELLINGTON, August 22 An assurance that men engaged on publie works who desire to take advantage of seasonal occupations, such as shearing, will not be deprived of the opportunity of going back to their positions on public works, was given by the Hon. R. Semple to-day He said he was giving instructions to the chief engineer to write to all district engineers to this effect. He was doing this to assist the primary industries, and give the farmer his full quota of labour.
