CALLOUS MURDER OF JEWS

A London Jew, Mr Louis Billig, a graduate of Cambridge, Professor of Semitic languages at the Jerusalem University, was sitting at his desk at his home when he was shot dead with a dumdum bullet. The murderer escaped. Two Jews were killed and three wounded in an ambush near Saba, on the Plain of Sharon. British troops killed four Arabs during the search operations following the Hedera battle on August 20.
