When 200 men from the meat works at Wyndham were about to leave for a holiday at Perth, they bought all the beer in the town and put it aboard their ship, the Koolinda. Their mates saw them off and returned to the town, only to find no beer left at Wyndham, and they will have to wait until September 6 before fresh supplies are available.
