NEW OBSERVATORY
PLANNED FOR WELLINGTON By Tel pern ph—Press Association WELLINGTON, August 21. The erection of a new observatory for the city in the Botanical Gardens is practically certain in the next two years. Funds have been provided by the Carter Bequest, which now amounts to £12,000. Recently a conference was held with the Minister of Education (Hon. P. Fraser), and a committee is being set up with the object of forwarding the erection of the observatory.
