PALMER AGREES TO MEET ROSENBLOOM United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph —Copyright (Received August 21, 9.50 p.m.) SYDNEY, August 21. Ambrose Palmer has agreed to fight Maxie Rosenbloom at Sydney Stadium, the bout to be of 15 rounds. The contest has been fixed for September 7.
McMAIION BEATS PLUTO By Telegraph—Press Association PALMERSTON NORTH, August 21. Jack McMahon, cf Palmerston North, was given the decision over Cyril Pluto at the end of the fifteenth round. The West Australian champion c~*boxed McMahon for eight rounds, but gaining confidence as the bout progressed, McMahon had the better of the concluding stages, and with » whirlwind attack in 1 ie last round, in which he nailed Pluto with several very solid rights to the jaw, swung the decision his way. The crowd was tremendously pleased, but thought that Pluto, at the worst, should have got a draw.
