Oliver, temporarily Commander of the Resolution, has been appointed the second member of the New Zealand Naval Board. Reference to the death of Mr H. A. Innes-Jones was made at a meeting of the Timaru Borough Council last night by the Mayor (Mr P. C. Vinnell), who said that Mr Innes-Jones had formerly been a member of the Council. He was sure those who had worked with him would agree that he had been a gentleman in every sense of the word, and he moved that the Council place on record its regret at his death. The motion was carried in silence.
