RAILWAY SAVINGS
WATER TAKEN IN AT FULL SPEED British Official Wireless RUGBY. August 5. The London, Midland and Scottish Railway, which pays a water rate of £300,000 annually, expects to save 3.675.000 gallons of water a day as a result of a device now being fitted to scoops on long distance express locomotives, which take up water from troughs while travelling at full speed.
