NEW BUILDING OPENED
There was an attendance of about 300 on Saturday afternoon at the opening of the new premises in Fairlie recently erected by the National Mortgage and Agency Company, Ltd. The New Zealand manager, Mr J. R. Ritchie, in addressing the gathering, paid a special tribute to the work done by the manager at Fairlie, Mr W. Close. Mr Close had efficiently managed the branch for 17 years. Mr A. Anderson, manager at Timaru, also spoke. Afternoon tea was dispensed in the new building to all those present.
