TO-DAY’S RECIPE
* DATE BARS. X * 2 eggs. 1 cup brown sugar, 3 ■;< cup flour, J teaspoon baking >:• powder, i teaspoon salt, 1 cup of £ X dates, 1 cup desslcated cocoanut, .;. J cup chopped nuts. Mix to- ❖ ••• gether, salt, baking powder and X X flour. Mix in cut-up dates, X cocoanut and nuts. Beat eggs * ••• well and add brown sugar X X gradually and add these to the mixture. Spread in a well- * ■? greased cake tin, and bake in a X X moderate over for 30 or 40 .;. * minutes. Cut in strips about 4 * X inches long and 1 incli wide rid X X remove from tin whly warm.
