SPIVAKOVSKY-KURTZ CONCERTS.
PLANS OPEN THIS MORNING. j This morning at Begg’s plans will be ' opened for the concert to be given oy the renowned Spivakovsky-Kurtztno in the Theatre Royal next Thursday evening. These distinguished players have already won a place in the hearts of New Zealand music-lovers, and may be assured of cordial reception on their appearance here. Reviewing a concert | during their season three years ago a critic said: “The Spivakovsky-Kurtz trio are offering the most beautiful music ever composed in a manner never before heard in Wellington. For never before have we heard players of such elevated culture.’” On their present visit they will have had a further period of three years together, and their already remarkable unanimity and team work should be even more highly developed. As before their programmes will be made up of at least one classical trio and groups of solos for each instrument. Mr Noel Newson has been engaged as accompanist for the tour, which is under the direction of Mr D. D. O’Connor.
