A tribute to the memory of Mr C. T. P. Ulm, who lost his life in an attempted Pacific flight in 1934, was paid by Flight Lieutenant J. Hefferman and Mr M. O. Watson, of the Royal Australian Air Force, who passed through Auckland by the Niagara on their way back to Sydney after a holiday visit to Honolulu. Before their departure from Australia, ’--.ambers of an association of Australian wartime pilots entrusted them with a wreath. In Honolulu, through the courtesy of the United States Army authorities, they obtained the use of an aeroplane, and flying out beyond sight of land, dropped the wreath on the sea in memory of Mr Ulm and his companions.
