Waimate (24 hours ended 9 a.m. yesterday) : Barometer, 30.50 (steady); thermometer, highest 78.3, lowes 49; wind gauge, miles run in the previous 24 hours, 41; bright sunshine, 7 hours 25 minutes. Yesterday was bright and hot with a very light north-east wind. Geraldine. —Air temperatures, min. 57, max. 79, at 9 a.m., 72. Yesterday was bright and fine early, dull and overcast later, with a light southwesterly wind. Temuka.—Yesterday was warm and sunny, the temperature rising to 68 degrees in the shade, while the minimum was 54 degrees. There was a light southerly breeze at times.
