ST. ANDREWS SALE STORE CATTLE SELL FREELY The entry of store cattle at yesterday’s St. Andrews sale was the largest for some time. Good colours sold very well and fat cattle were changing hands at values fully up to late rates. Few dairy cattle were yarded and offerings lacking in quality met with a dragging sale. Fat sheep showed no change and store sheep were competed for at this week’s values. The pig market was over-supplied and sales made were down by 2/- a head. Prices were:— Fat ewes (shorn) 12/10, 15/10, 16/4, 17/7, 20/4, 21/1, 22/10; fat wethers (shorn) 21/7, fat wethers (in wool) 30/10, two tooth wethers (small) 14/-, aged ewes in wool 10/-; ewes and lambs 15/1, 16/1, 18/9. Fat cows £3,. £4 12s 6d, £4 17s 6d, £5 17s 6d, fat heifers £4 12s 6d, £6 2s 6d; 18 months heifers (good colours) £2 17s 6d, 3 year steers £4 12s, £4 12s 6d, 15 months steers £2 and £3 2s 6d, yearling steers and heifers 36/-.
