KING OF BELGIUM UNDER TREATMENT Dnlted Press Association—By Electrlo Telegraph—Copyright (Received December 4, 7.40 p.m.) LONDON, December 3. ‘‘The Daily Telegraph” learns that Sir Harold Gillies performed a plastic operation on the scars of King Leopold’s face and mouth, which were received at the time Queen Astrid was killed. The King of the Belgians, who is now in a clinic, has been receiving dental treatment from Sir Harold for some years. Sir Harold Gillies, F.R.C.S., who Is a New Zealander, has achieved considerable fame as a plastic surgeon. He was born in Dunedin in 1882, but since attending Cambridge University, he has lived in England. He occupies the position of plastic surgeon to many leading English hospitals and similar institutions and has had many notable successes in operations involving the restoration of facial features.
