You have a lovely bay, beautiful homes and picturesque places surrounding Timaru, but you are all too busy making money, or trying to, to take notice of the most important place—your station. I can quite understand no one wanting to send a postcard of your station; and yet the entrance going along the Bay is a picture. Then to come to such a dilapidated finish surprises most travellers. Why don’t you place a bomb under some of your Councillors and get them to make a suggestion to the Government?"
