SURGICAL PROBLEM
CHANGING WOMAN INTO MAN United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received December 3, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, December 2. The Prague correspondent of “The Daily Telegraph" says that Miss Zdenka Koubkowa, aged 24, the women’s world track champion, will shortly undergo an operation changing her into a man. It is recalled that Miss Koubkowa refused to be examined in 1934 by the Medical Board of London, which was testifying to the effects of athletics on a woman’s constitution. She resigned in the spring from the Czech Women’s Athletic Federation and did not participate in events in 1935 for an unrevealed reason.
