“BIGGEST SNOOKER FIXTURE” DAVIS AND HORACE LINDRUM United Preßa Association—By Btectrlc Telegraph—Copyright (Received December 3, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, December 2. Described as the biggest snooker fixture ever played, Joe Davis, the world champion, and Horace Lindrum have begun the first of two all-week matches, each of 61 games, for a wager of £IOO aside. Side bets of £SO for the highest break and for the highest aggregate have been made. To-day’s score was 5-all. Lindrum (received seven each game) won as follows: 65-60, 72-51, 126-17, 75-72, 62-52. Davis: 104-41, 63-42, 82-51, 80-45, 74-50. Best break —Lindrum, 81. When Davis with the pyramid broken failed to pot when one ball was jawed in a pocket, Lindrum fluefitly potted two blues, three pinks, and six blacks.
