The aviator James Melrose, while Bying from Melbourne to Sydney, experienced bad weather to-day and was (orced to land in a paddock at Penrose, 106 miles south of Sydney. The machine struck a stump and upended, the engine burying its nose in the earth. The wing of the 'plane was smashed. Railwaymen employed on the permanent way witnessed the accident. They rushed to the spot and rendered firstaid. Melrose was conveyed twqnty-three miles to Bowral hospital.
