Karetu’s Loading The Union Company advises that the Karetu is to commence loading at Newcastle to-day, and is to complete at Sydney on Wednesday for Bluff, Dunedin, Timaru, Lyttelton. She is due on November 22. Wairuna at Auckland The Union Company advises that the Wairuna is due at Auckland on November 15 from Pacific Coast ports. She is bringing Canadian and American cargo for discharge at Auckland, Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Melbourne, and Sydney. Tainul Nearing Wellington The Tainui, en route from Southampton to Wellington, has radioed that she now expects to arrive at the northern port on the afternoon of November 12. She will afterwards complete discharge at Auckland. Marine Examination Results The following are the results of examinations conducted by the Marine Department during October: Master of home trade ship, H, G. M’Millan; first officer of home trade ship, T. C. Douglas; signals, only, F. T. Chapman; first class oil engineer—D. H. Small, S. W. White, G. Scott; second class oil engineer, D. C. Gelston; restricted limits oil engineer—D. Moore, L. G. L. Baxter, C. H. S. Scott. Personal Captain A. Russell is now in command of the Poolta, relieving Captain C. Sharpe. Captain K. W. Kanerva has resumed command of the Parera, replacing Captain C. A. Barker. Mr H- S. S. Curtis is now second officer of the Holmglen, relieving Mr H. Robertson.
