WOLF CUBS
COMBINED FIELD DAY TO-DAY To-day, weather permitting, there is to be a Combined Field Day at the Council Quarry for the Cubs of Timaru. The four Packs, Highfield, Ngaitahu, Northdown te Rangi and St. Vincent’s will be present, and the Cubs are assured that they will have a good time. The activities will commence shortly before 2.30, when the Cubs will have a Grand Howl. Next, games will be played, and from then onwards the time will be spent in Jungle Dances, a Gilwell Hike, and then more games and a treasure hunt. Each Cub is required to bring some “eats” with him, some for afternoon tea and some for tea. Those who so desire or who live a long way away can have their tea at the Highfield Den. Most of the Cubs will be having their tea at the Den then they can proceed with the Campfire shortly afterwards. As well as “eats” the Cubs must each bring a mug or cup. In the evening there is to be a campfire at the Highfield Den, when there will be a good programme comprising of Cub songs and Pack items.
