BOY LOSES HIS LIFE By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, November 8. The accidental explosion of a can of methylated spirits used in priming a blow lamp was responsible for the 'death of William Henry Bryant, an employee in the Wellington City Corporation’s Electricity Department according to the verdict giyen by tbs Coroner, Mr E. Gilbertson, at the inquest held to-day. Alexander Fraser, acting foreman in the winding branch of the electricity department, said he instructed Bryant to light the blow lamp. A few minutes later he heard an explosion and saw the boy lying on the floor enveloped in flames. James Richard Houston, another employee, said he saw the explosion but could not be sure if the lamp had been previously lit or not. He had heard Fraser warn the boy about the use of methylated spirits.
