MACKENZIE COUNTY COUNCIL PUBLIC NOTICE pUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that it is an offence against the County Bylaws for anyone to deposit rubbish in the river bed near the Allandale Bridge, Fairlie. Persons so doing are liable to a heavy penalty. PUBLIC NOTICE is also given that it is an offence to tamper with any Council water race for the purpose of irrigating or augmenting a supply. This is particularly serious in the event of fire and anyone detected in any way tampering with a race will be at once prosecuted. FURTHER NOTICE is given that a “clean up” period in Fairlie will be held on FRIDAY and SATURDAY, the 15th and 16th of November. Council lorries will collect rubbish during this period.
