STRUCK BY CAR
WOMAN FATALLY INJURED By Telegraph—Press Association WANGANUI, November 8. Fatal injuries were suffered by a woman, Mrs Moss, who was struck by a motor car while walking across Victoria Avenue, at the Ingestre Street intersection last night. She was accompanied by an unemployed labourer, A. Motley, aged about 44, who was also hit by the car and suffered a compound fracture of the leg and other injuries, necessitating an operation. His condition to-day is reported to be satisfactory. Mrs Moss suffered a fractured skull, and died this morning. The police are inquiring as to the relatives and address of the victim, who is unknown to the hospital authorities. The driver of the vehicle, an Auckland woman, was alone at the time.
