CHILD SUCCUMBS By Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND, November 6. Fatal scalds were received by Stanley Joseph Otto, aged two and a-half, when he fell backward into a pan of hot water at his parents’ home at Ararimu this morning. The child, whose back was severely scalded, was brought to the Auckland Hospital and died this evening. A large pan of water had been heated on the kitchen range by the child’s father, and was momentarily left on the kitchen floor. The child, the second youngest of the family of five, stepped backward and tripped over the pan, falling into the hot water.
