The Associated Press correspondent at Geneva says that 18 nations, including Australia, argued at the League Assembly that the time is not yet ripe to endorse the principles of the Monte Video Convention of 1933, for removing the distinctions, based on sex, regarding the nationality of women, and also the restrictions on women from entering public offices and professions Fifteen States advocated this.
