About 7574 bales of Australian and New Zealand wool were sold. There was keen competition for the better grades of merinos and crossbreds at full rates. Inferior sorts were somewhat irregular. Russia was buying greasy crossbreds at hardening rates. New Zealand clips sold included:— Scoured merino (RR/T) top price 2Ud, average 21gd; slipe half-bred lambs (Belfast) top price 15id, average 133 d.
