SOCIAL AND DANCE Another successful euchre party and dance was held by the Orari School Committee in the Coronation Hall on Thursday night. The winners were Mrs Arthur Henderson, Mrs H. Fisher, aftd Miss Joan Minnis (consolation), Messrs George Scott, E. R. O’Neill and Hay (consolation). The prizes were given by a supporter of the school, and Mr O. Smith. The four night aggregate prizes went to Mrs Arthur Henderson with 79 points, and Mr Viv Prouting with 82 points. Prizes for the aggregate were given by Mr L. Pierce and Mr W. E. Payne. A lucky spot waltz was won by Mr Joe Earl and Miss Joan Minnis. Mr Stan Hansen supplied the music for dancing, while Mr Alf. Earl was M.C. The secretary of the committee, Mr J. B. Cone, thanked all present and announced that the next social would be the start of a new four night aggregate. PERSONAL Mrs W. Hughes, Orari, left yesterday for Auckland, as delegate to the annual conference of Women’s Institutes. Constable E. L. England, of Invercargill, is visiting his mother, Mrs E. L. England, “Longfields,” Orari. Mr P. Fuldseth, Woolston, Is the guest of Mr and Mrs H. A. Brenton, Belfield.
