ACQUITTED INDIAN KILLS WITNESSES United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received June 28, 12.10 a.m.) CALCUTTA, June 27. After stalking and killing six of seven witnesses who gave evidence against him when charged with robbery with violence, of which charge he was acquitted, Radhacharan, India’s “Public Enemy No. 1” is at large awaiting the opportunity to fulfil his vow by killing the seventh witness. The police in the United Provinces are almost entirely concentrated around the university town of Aligarh where the trial occurred. Roads are picketed, night and day.
