COUNTERFEITING OPERATIONS REVEALED ARREST OF INTERNATIONAL FIGURE United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received May 14, 7 p.m.) NEW YORK, May 14. Victor Lustig, described by the police as an international thief and confidence man, was arrested by Federal agents to-day, and formally held on a counterfeiting charge, although he is wanted in at' least five States for various alleged swindles. A key found in his possession revealed that he used a small steel locker located in an underground railway station to hide the currency he made and his counterfeit equipment. Fifty-two thousand dollars in bogus money was found in the locker, also a set of plates from which they were printed.
