ARUNDEL
JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS A pleasant afternoon was spent on Friday, at the Arundel School when the parents and school committee assembled to cleebrate the King’s Jubilee. After the planting of a tree by Mrs J M. H. Tripp and the senior boy of the school, an impressive address was given by Mrs Tripp. The children sang and recited under the command of their teacher, Miss Bowen, who had spared no pains in their training. Mrs Tripp then presented each pupil with a book and In return the pupils presented her with a beautiful bouquet, a senior boy standing out and thanking her for her address and presents, and his mates joining in a rally. Afternoon tea was then served by the ladies inside the school, and on Mrs Tripp’s departure all joined in the singing of “For She’s a Jolly Good Fellow.”
