SOUTH AFRICANS IN ENGLAND MATCH AGAINST CAMBRIDGE United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, May 8. The cricket match between the South African and Cambridge University teams was commenced to-day. Cambridge batted first, making 253. The South Africans have lost one wicket for 88 runs. The partnership between Hotchkln and Parker, which produced 56, was the best opening against the South Africans thus far on the tour. Langton, who subtly varied the pace of his bowling dismissed Hotchkin and Bousfield in the same over. Tindall, a freshman, representing Cambridge for the first time, dominated the bowling, and timed his strokes admirably. Following are the scores: —
