AUCKLAND The City Council and Hospital Board results were not available at midnight. The indications are that Labour is likely to gain seats on both bodies. Wellington. With 20 booths to come the voting was: P. Fraser (Labour) 20,881, C. H. Chapman (Labour) 18,966, R. McKeen (Labour) 18,714, R. A. Wright (Citizens) 16,140, P. Butler (Labour) 15,238, W. H. Bennett (Citizens) 14,240, A. Black (Labour) 13,724, A. Parlane (Labour) 13,502, J, Burns (Citizens) 13,540, M. Luckie (Citizens) 13,263, W. Appleton (Citizens) 13.644, H. Huggins (Citizens) 13,224, A. Croskery (Labour) 13,433, W. Duncan (Citizens) 13,120, L. McKenzie (Citizens) 13,261, J. Reed (Labour) 13,085, M. Reardon (Labour) 13,252, T. Forsyth (Citizens) 12.699. C. J. Hay (Labour) 12,173, R. Macalister 12,166, J. Ranson 12,079, J. Tucker (Labour) 12,933, M. Welsh (Labour) 12,553, J. Collins 11,812, P. Hoskins (Citizens) 10,937, C. Brooks (Communist) 2484. J. The Citizens Association candidates are leading and the indications are that they may secure a good majority on the Council. The count has not proceeded far, however. For the Harbour Board the four city seats look like being equally divided between Labour and Citizens. For the Hospital Board the leading candidates are members of the present Board. Dunedin. The following Council was returned: W. Begg, A. H. Allen, F. W. Mitchell, W. H. Shephard, D. C. Cameron, W. A. Scott (all Citizens ticket), F. Jones, M.P., Dr. D. G. McMillan. J. W. Munro, M.P.. M. Silverston, P. Neilson and W. W. Batchelor (all Labour).
