A TRADE MISSION
VISITORS FROM JAPAN By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, May 8. Five Japanese traders—Messrs S. Aito, Y. Midzuno, J. Shirai, M. Mori, and Sitoh —arrived via Australia today, their mission being to endeavour to increase the export trade of Nagoya, which now possesses a large harbour. They intend to hold an exhibition of samples at Auckland, whence they are returning to Sydney in order to depart for Japan on June 1. Interviewed. Mr Shirai said he thought Japan’s export trade was improving. From January to March was quiet, but it has since picked up.
