THE WEATHER
Dominion Meteorologist General situation: Pressure is still low to the east, but a rather intense anticyclone is now approaching the Dominion from the west. Winds: Strong southerly, still reaching gale force about Cook Strait and on parts of the East Coast, but gradually moderating. Seas (New Zealand waters): Very rough south of East Cape and in Cook Strait, and rough north of Cape Egmont. but decreasing; elsewhere moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Moderate to fresh southerly winds, and rather rough but decreasing seas. Weather: Still squally, with occasional showers in East Coast districts and the far north, but slowly improving; elsewhere fair to fine; cold temperatures, but becoming milder from to-morrow. Mr G. L. Wooles Wind.—Light to moderate, southerly to easterly. Weather.—Fine.
