Ilf the House of Commons, Mr Ramsay Macdonald was cheered when answering a question he said his recent article in a weekly journal, blaming Germany for the new threat to peace, represented the policy of the Government. Mr F. Seymour Cocks (Labour): Is the Prime Minister aware that this is the only thing he has done since 1931 which has won a certain amount of Labour approval. At the winding up of the May Day celebrations, before the torchlight procession, General von Goering said: “Never again shall we leave Germany’s defence position to the politicians of other nations or cowardly compromises at Geneva. We say leave others in peace and demand others to leave us in peace. Germany can sleep in peace because there are not cowards but men watching over her.”
