NOTES The Wainui was the only vessel to arrive at Tirnaru yesterday. She called here from Oamaru last evening to pick up Napier and Gisborne shipments and sailed later for Lyttelton. The Storm is due from the south to-morrow to load for Wellington, Picton and Wanganui. She should sail the same evening for Lyttelton. The Gabriella is due from Westport, via Wellington, to-morrow to discharge coal. She is to proceed to Dunedin in the evening. The Waimarino is expected to reach Tirnaru from Dunedin on Monday, On Tuesday she will load for Picton, Wellington and Auckland. The Holmglen should be here from the south on Tuesday to load for Wellington, New Plymouth and Waikato. The inter-colonial steamer Waikouaiti is set down to arrive at Tirnaru from Dunedin pn Tuesday to discharge transhipment cargo loaded in Australia. She will also discharge coal. Mahia Coming The Shaw, Savill and Albion vessel Mahia is expected to reach Tirnaru from Dunedin on Wednesday to discharge Home cargo. She is to sail the following day for Lyttelton. Mataroa for Tirnaru The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Mataroa, which is now at Wellington, is due at Tirnaru from Lyttelton on Wednesday to discharge London cargo. She should sail on May 10 for Port Calmers, Auckland and Wellington, from where she is to sail finally on May 24 for London via Panama. lonic for England The Shaw, Savill liner lonic is now timed to clear Wellington finally at 5 p.m. to-morrow for Southampton and London via the Panama Canal and Kingston. Waipawa Clears Balboa Cabled advice has been received by the Shaw, Savill Company that the motor ship Waipawa, en route from London to Suva, Dunedin, Lyttelton, and Tirnaru, cleared Balboa on April 25. She is due at Suva on May 13 and at Dunedin - on May 20. Waikavva Renamed The Union Company’s transpacific cargo steamer Waikawa, which was sold to English buyers last November and was taken over at Sydney by her new owners in February, is now named Tower Ensign. She afterwards loaded a cargo of wheat at Sydney for Great Britain and sailed from Sydney on April 16. Liverpool Sailings The Federal Company advises that the Hertford will now leave Liverpool on June 1 and the Surrey on June 22 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. Ruahine Leaves Caracas Bay The Ruahine, en route from Wellington to London, sailed from Caracas Bay on the afternoon of April 26. The vessel left Wellington on April 1, and is due at London on May 11. Personal Captain L. T. Palmer is now master of the Kaitoa. His position as mate has been taken by Mr W. A. Pimm. Captain N. A. Olsen is now in command of the Te Aroha, relieving Captain J. E. Bergquist. Mr E. R. Hanson has been engaged as second engineer of the Kapuni, relieving Mr T. Beck. Mr G. Langley has been appointed extra officer in the Waipiata. Mr R. B. Steere has joined the Niagara as junior third -officer, relieving Mr J. Billingham for holidays. Mr C. W. Dovey has been appointed second officer of the Kanna. Mr E. J. Taylor has joined the Kini at Melbourne as second officer, relieving Mr R. F. Dewar, who has come to Wellington for further orders. Mr H. A. Brockett has joined the Hauraki as chief officer, relieving Mr W. E. Jones for further orders. Mr A. C. Crosbie recently joined the Wingatui as third officer. Mr D. E. Grantham has joined the Wainui as third officer. Mr W. A. Morris is now second officer of the Omana, having relieved Mr J. W. Knox for holidays at Auckland.
