RAID BY BANDITS
GOLFERS RELIEVED OF CASH AND JEWELS United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received May 1, 7.15 p.m.) CHICAGO, May 1. Five masked automobile bandits, armed with a machine gun, a shot gun and three pistols, invaded the exclusive Westward Ho Golf Club in a nearby suburb to-night, and stole 700 dollars in cash and a considerable quantity of jewellery from members of the board of directors, who, at the time, were listening to an informal speech by Horton Smith, the famous professional, regarding the coming visit of the Japanese golf team.
