TIMARU SEAT
MR W. ANGLAND TO STAND In conversation with a representative of “The Timaru Herald” yesterday, Mr W. Angland stated that he had been requested by a number of electors in the Timaru electorate to stand as a candidate at the next Parliamentary election. Mr Angland said that he had consented to do so, and would contest the seat as an independent.
During the last 25 years, Mr Angland has been associated with a large number of public bodies, and has twice been Mayor of Timaru.
