PRESBYTERY FUNCTION
In connection with the celebration of its diamond jubilee, Timaru Presbytery held a function in the Robert Jackson Memorial Hall yesterday afternoon, at which there were present a large number of ministers and elders. The chair was occupied by the Rev. A. J. 11. Dow. The function took the form of a discussion on the Presbyterian Church to-day, and in the future The speakers included the Revs. J. Baird. W. F. Nicol, W. J. Couling and Llywelyn Williams, after which the Rt. Rev. John Dickie, D.D., Moderator of General Assembly, summed up. Members assembled for tea m the Bay tearooms last evening, this function being presided over by tne Moderator of the Presbytery, the Rev. W. J. Couling.
