“FRAME” FOR BEAUTY
COLOUR BALANCE IN THE HOME Woman pay too little attention td the clothes they wear in their homes—thus neglecting the most important “frame” for their beauty. This opinion was voiced by Aravis Banton, Hollywood expert and vogue creator, says News of the World. "Women are so careful about their dress for the street and for the theatre and for the night clubs, but they forget all about the home,” said Banton. “In other words, if the motif of their drawing-room is yellow, it becomes a ghastly contrast for a woman to sit in the yellow divan dressed in purple. “I have always advocated a colour balance between the home costume for women and the background against which they appear most frequently. “In planning a wardrobe, a woman should take into consideration the colour scheme of her own living-rooms, and thus she will appear to better advantage.”
