LOTTERY PRIZE

FARMER WINS £2OOO By Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND, January 3. Ellis Finalyson, of Aponga, North Auckland, has won £2,000 in Tattersails. He is a son of Mr R. D. Finlayson, well-known throughout the Auckland province, is 25 years old, and single, and works his own farm of 400 acres, milking 100 cows. The ticket was sent to “E.F.,” Pipiwai rural delivery. Its number was 72458, and when it was traced to Finalyson’s homestead this morning, the owner was at work on the farm. However, one of the employees found the ticket, and compared it with the result slip produced by a Northland journalist, and it was the right number. Finlayson is to be married on Wednesday week. Interviewed, he said he was nearly up to his neck in mud working bullocks, when the farm boy arrived with the ticket and the result. The latter could not have been more pleased had the ticket been his own.
