FATE OF KISCH
APPEAL AGAINST GAELIC TEST United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received December 18, 10 p.m.) SYDNEY, December 18. In the Kisch case, further argument took place to-day. Mr Manning, K.C., the State At-torney-General, appeared on behalf of the Commonwealth in a private capacity as a member of the Bar. The case is part heard.
The High Court on Friday granted a rule nisi, returnable on Monday, staying further proceedings against Egon Kisch as a prohibited immigrant until the question whether a Scottish dialect, Gaelic, could be termed a European language, under the Commonwealth Immigration Act.
