SCHOLARSHIP FUND
BEQUEST TO UNIVERSITY By Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND, December 18. The estate of Mr H. W. Hudson, of Remuera, who died on November 27, has been sworn for probate purposes at under £13,000. Mr Hudson was managing director of L. D. Nathan and Company, Limited. Among other provisions, the will directs that, subject to a life interest, one-third of the residue of the estate is to be paid to the University of Nev Zealand to be held by the University upon trust to apply half the income from the fund for the purposes of a scholarship or scholarships in agriculture at Canterbury Agricultural College, Lincoln, and Massey Agricultural College. The other half of the income from the fund is to be applied in founding a scholarship in engineering a* Auckland University College in memory of Mr Hudson’s son, Lieutenant E. G. Hudson, who was killed in action.
