FRONTIER CLASH

AUXILIARIES SHOT DEAD United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received December 17, 5.5 p.m.) VIENNA, December 16. Two members of the Auxiliary Corps were shot dead last night. It is believed the shooting was done by Austrian legionaries camping across the Bavarian frontier. Auxiliaries, who were patrolling the border, challenged three youths, one of whom prepared to resist. The Auxiliaries reached for their weapons but the boys were quicker, fatally shooting one Auxiliary in the head and another in the stomach, and then escaping.
