NOTES The Holmglen, which arrived from Dunedin on Sunday, loaded yesterday for Wellington, Wanganui and New Plymouth. She sailed in the evening for Lyttelton. The Opihi arrived from Oamaru last evening to lift Wellington, Nelson and New Plymouth shipments and departed later for Lyttelton. The Waitaki should be here from Oamaru to-day to load for Pieton, Wellington and Auckland. She is due to proceed to Lyttelton this evening. The Wainui, on the Wellington, Napier and Gisborne run, is expected to call at Timaru from Oamaru .this evening. She should sail later for the north via Lyttelton. The arrival of the Gale from the south has been deferred till to-morrow when she is to load for Wellington, Picton and Wanganui. The Parera is due to-morrow to load for Wellington, Nelson, Wanganui, New Plymouth and Waikato. Tamaroa at London The Tamaroa, which sailed from Napier on November 6 for London via Panama, arrived at London on the afternoon of December 10. Northumberland from Liverpool The Federal Line steamer Northumberland was scheduled to leave Liverpool on Saturday for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Port Chalmers. The vessel is expected to reach Auckland on January 23. Wireless from lonic The lonic, which left Auckland on December 8 for Southarfipton and London via Panama and Kingston, reports by radio that she has experienced fresh easterlies, and that the weather is now fine. All are well on board. Maimoa in Ballast The Maimoa sailed from London last Monday in ballast to load Homeward at New Zealand ports. She Is coming out via the Cape of Good Hope and Sydney, and is due at her first New Zealand port about January 39.

Sailed—Awahou (3.35 p.m.), Maui Pomare (7.30 p.m.) and Wahine (8.10 p.m.) for Wellington. DUNEDIN, December 17. Arrived—Canopus (6 a.m.) from Timaru. Sailed—Waitaki (6 p.m.) and Wainui (7 p.m.) for Oamaru.
