HOOK TENNIS CLUB

The weekly euchre and dance evening of the Hook Tennis Club was most successful. The grand aggregate prizes which were given by Mrs Geo. McKenzie, were won by Mrs J. Rooney, and Mr A. McPherson, and an aggregate prize for four nights, also given by Mrs G. McKenzie, was won by Mr C. Medlicott. A second prize in the grand aggregate kindly given by Mr A. McPherson was won by Mrs H. Henderson. The prizes for the evening were given by Mrs C. Rose and Mr A. McPherson, and won by Mrs A. Burness and Mr F. Grayson, consolation awards going to Miss S. White and Mr A. Burness, jun. A cheese given by Mr T. Gordon, president of Fiag Swamp Tennis Club. Palmerston South, was won by Mr J. Croft, jun. Music for the dance was supplied by Mrs Rose and Messrs J. Clarke and S. The hall was tastefully decorated with flags and greenery, and presented a most attractive appearance. A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Mrs Campbell and Mr R.
